The Xcel Infiniti Drylock is best suited for those that feel the cold and are looking for something with extra warmth. With extra warmth comes weight and restriction, but the Xcel drylock has a lot of flexibility through the arms and shoulders making this a damn comfy suit. The O'Neill Psycho 2 is a great all-rounder wettie. It will keep you nice and warm in the cooler conditions from Sydney south even in the depths of winter and while it lacks some performance features boasted by the other brands, it wouldn't look or feel out of place on the back of any elite level surfer. If you want a good combination of warmth, flexibility and style then O'Neill will have you covered.

The Billabong SGX is a suit designed for those that are after a lightweight 'naked' feeling during the winter months. While it's the lightest and one of the most flexible and comfortable wetsuits, it ain't too warm. If you live anywhere north of the Central Coast of NSW then you should be ok, if you feel the cold however, then you might want to look elsewhere. For those surfers that want to push their surfing performance high through winter while sacrificing time in the water.

The Patagonia is best suited for those who are into new concepts and want to try something different. The suit is super warm and one of the most innovative suits on the market with their full length patented wool inner as well as very durable. Plainly put the suit is there for warmth, and longevity and is sacrificing flexibility and comfort for this. So if you feel the cold more than most and want a suit that will last through the ages then we highly recommend the Patagonia.

The West Lotus Air-O is best suited for anyone who's looking for a great all rounder suit offering amazing warmth, durability and comfort. The West suit was well received by all the mesurf testers and it's a suit that has a unique look and feel with it's golf ball dimple air-o material, and carries fluid seams throughout the entire suit. We believe the suit is for anyone who's wants durability, style and handle almost any winter conditions throughout Australia.

The Hurley Fusion 3/2 is ideal for crew who surf temperate to cold water locations, have smaller frames and want to look stylin' while staying warm. It's a good looking suit and sure to draw attention your way, so if your sporting it, make sure you've got your A-game on. If you want something that's stylish, warm and comfortable while lacking a few unique features then we suggest the Hurley.

The Peak Climax is another great all-rounder for those surfers who are a bit more budget conscious and don¡¯t need to wear big names to feel like they fit in out in the line-up. Other surfers might be able to tell you¡¯re not a pro, and they're right you¡¯re not, so get over it. The Peak suit might be missing some of the Bells and Whistles but at the end of the day it serves it's purpose of keeping you warm and relatively comfortable.

The Tiki wettie is recommended for cold water surfers who care more about function than form. This suit is made by the Brits, so it should be warm...and it is. The suit however looks like it's been thrown together with dodgy patching jobs, glue leaks all round and doesn't look too polished, but it performs. The heat pack pockets (exclusive feature) are a further indication of Tiki¡¯s commitment to keeping you out there as long as possible in cooler times. Coming in under $400, if you want to save some bones, then check out the Tiki this winter.

The Jetpilot Chamber Elite 3/2 steamer is best suited to someone looking for warmth and aesthetics, but it comes at the expense of flexibility and added weight. If you're a surfer looking for a suit that will take a beating, still keep you warm and come in at a reasonable price then the Jetpilot is for you. We recommend it for areas south of Sydney where the waters can carry some serious bite.

The Seventhwave 3/2 is an ok all-round suit. It's a good suit for those that require warmth over comfort and want a custom cut suit for their body shape and size. If however you're after a high performance, lightweight, super stretch suit then Seventhwave isn't for you.
