Surf and travel have always gone hand in hand, and while this design is working towards the age old problem of solving "less is more", I think the point is being missed. The line of thinking is good, but again I don't think this designer has been out chasing surf too often or he would realise, carrying a 10kg bag on your shoulder is good for about 5min!

What is the Komunity Project? KP is a new line of surf gear owned by the one and only Kelly Slater, with support and backing from Quiksilver int.
