Tuesday aint an easy day. It's too long to the new weekend, and you're only just starting to recover from the previous. It can be a hard lonely trail that not even the blackest of coffees can ammend...That was until now. Each Tuesday I'm going to try and remember to place a clip, a shot, or something that will help bring you that little ray of hope, a taste of temptation that will put a smile on your dial and remind you that life aint that bad after all.

WAX OFF | THE NOUVEAU SURF

If you're in or around Melbourne over the coming week, make sure to stop by the rad event called "Wax Off | The Nouveau Surf". It's an art exhibition that kicks off today Thursday (12th April) at the Greenwood Gallery in South Melbourne. Wax Off combines the talents of 23 artists, many of whom are at the artistic helm of numerous entities that up the surfing industry including Ryan Heywood, Ben Brown, Wade Lewis, Ozzie Wright and more.

The event offers a social commentary on the counter culture's evolution in Australian society, surfing's beau monde take a break from the everyday detritue of their hum-drum lives to collaborate on a contemporary art exhibition with true blue surfing chic.

Over the weekend I fell in love with Barbara. A gorgeous young lady who, ummm, well, I guess brought a smile to my day (and everyone around me). It's not about that Barbara is gorgeous, it's the fact that she moves with such grace, beauty and style. It's what you'd call music for the eyes, and I think you'd be hard pressed to call this low-brow my friends. It's way above the board and a shared view on the world of the beautiful. HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – The US Open of Surfing has just drawn to a close (congrats to Brett Simpson for successfully defending his title), the waves weren't awesome throughout, but Hurley’s wetsuits kinda were. Hurley gave all their riders these special edition multi-coloured suits for the event. Genius marketing ploy, yeah, but the things actually look pretty cool too.
